1. Product Overview
DS200TCPDG1BEC (TCPD board) is the core power distribution backplane board for GE SPEEDTRONIC Mark V turbine control systems, exclusively deployed on gas turbine, steam turbine and combined cycle power unit control racks. Unlike CPU or signal I/O boards, it undertakes full power routing, branch protection and power status monitoring for the entire control rack, serving as the power safety hub of the whole turbine control system. It receives main 24VDC rack power input and splits it into 36 isolated power branches, each protected by an independent cartridge fuse. Each branch corresponds to one control card, signal loop or auxiliary relay circuit inside the rack. If any branch overloads or short-circuits, the corresponding fuse blows, and the matched OK LED turns off to visually alarm maintenance staff without shutting down the entire rack power supply. 8 on-board toggle switches support manual power cut-off for specific branches during card replacement, maintenance or fault isolation, avoiding full rack power outage during overhaul work. Built-in LC filter circuits and high-capacity surge absorption components eliminate DC power ripple and industrial electromagnetic interference from turbine auxiliary equipment, stabilizing the power quality supplied to precision control boards such as speed control, temperature monitoring and trip protection modules. Multiple multi-pin plug terminals realize standardized wiring interconnection with all adjacent DS200 series functional boards, simplifying rack internal wiring layout and reducing wiring fault risks. The board adopts standard industrial conformal coating, suitable for power plant control room environments with humidity, dust and trace chemical vapor corrosion. This power distribution board is a mandatory spare part for aging Mark V turbine control racks; original GE production has been discontinued, only new surplus, refurbished and tested replacement units are available for power plant maintenance renovation projects.
